Lots of updates!

Hey everybody,

We have decided to offer premium quality prints of some of the most popular images from our book. They’re only $10 each. Check them out here!

Next, the Audiobook of Scary Stories: A Tribute To Terror is available now for only $10. AJ Danna did a remarkable job performing each story and Curt has worked many hours editing and engineering this high-quality audio book. We can’t wait for you to hear it.

Also, because of overwhelming support, we have been able to drop the price of the book to only $19.

Lastly, we just wanted to share some of the photos and comments we have received from people who have bought our book:

“This was amazing! It was a fabulous tribute and I read it cover to cover just like the original books as a kid. Thank you!!!” -Jacqueline Weinman

“It is an excellent read and is a fantastic tribute to the originals. I have already read the stories several times and they truly transported me back to when I was a child and first read the originals. I cannot recommend this book enough.” -Joseph Cennamo

“Me and my daughter have been reading it at night. Read through the original trilogy at least 5 times. Scrap Book so far has been my favorite. All the artwork has been incredible and matches the originals perfectly.” -Matt Neumann

“I am likely one of the biggest scary story fans out there and had a very similar experience with these books growing up. This 4th book not only belongs in the collection next to the other 3, it surpasses them in every way. A tribute to terror indeed. You can feel the labor of love you guys put on these pages with every story read. I am blown away! Just like the originals these story feel eerily familiar in the most appropriate way. They strike something deep within me that has been asleep for decades. This book is a masterpiece for those that know the source material. I hope you guys continue this legacy as this is how it was meant to be done. Curt Tuckfield and Shane Hunt are now legends aside Alvin and Stephen. As a 42 year old fan, thank you for the reawakening and taking me back to my childhood fears once again!” -Jeff Conners

P.S. If you have read our book, please consider writing a review on goodreads.com.

First edition print run coming any day now

Well, the time has come. Curt and I have finally finished the book and our printer has ordered the paper for our first run of prints. It’s going to be 230 pages filled with 34 stories and 60 illustrations! We expect that the book will be printed by February 3rd. At that time we will be shipping out hundreds of books to our awaiting scary stories fans. It’s been a long, frustrating, difficult road. But we couldn’t be more proud with the final product. Curt and I both think our supporters will be pleased.

We will continue to keep a stock of books on hand, so feel free to place on order on our STORE any time.

Thanks again for everything. We feel all the support.

The Kickstarter was a huge success! What comes next?

Hello everybody, Shane here with a quick update. Curt and I are overwhelmed by the success of our kickstarter. Combined with the convention and external sales, we sold over 300 book pre-orders! Now I’m working diligently to finish the art and put the book together hopefully before Christmas (no promises!)

You can pre-order the book through our store. Thanks for all the support. It’s been a wild ride!

Kickstarter begins October 1st, 2019!

Well, here it is; the official announcement of our kickstarter! Our campaign will launch at 10am MDT (8am EDT) on October 1st, 2019. That means our kickstarter will end on Halloween day! What a perfect way to celebrate, eh? Set your alarms and remember to sign up on day 1 for a special early bird price.

Thanks again for all the love and support. Our following is growing every day and we couldn’t be more excited.

500 mailing list subscribers, book progress, kickstarter info, and more

Hey Scary Stories fans! Today we passed 500 subscribers to our mailing list. This is amazing news, because if 500 people back our Kickstarter on the first day of our campaign then we will fund 100% and we will likely be featured as a staff favorite, which could be an enormous boost to our book. So, thanks to everyone who trusted us enough to give us their email addresses.

The progress on the book is moving forward. I am on track to finish all the illustrations before the launch of the Kickstarter and Curt’s stories are going to be professionally edited soon. It’s looking like the project will be 100% complete before we even launch the project. That’s pretty rare, and I think our backers will really appreciate knowing the work is already done,

As for the Kickstarter itself, we are looking at doing some cool stuff for our reward tiers. (Think original graphite art used for our book, custom drawings in Gammell style, and quality prints of your favorite images from the book.) We are also planning to offer a special low price for people who back it on day 1. That’s all we can say for now, but we think you will be pleased.

I provided some animations and illustrations that were featured in the new Scary Stories documentary film that just became available on various VOD outlets. Check it out!

Oh, one more thing; our printer ran a sample book for us and we have to say… it looks pretty awesome. It’s around 150 pages long and the art looks fantastic.

Curt and I just want to express our gratitude for the positivity we’ve received in the last few months. Thanks again!

An Overwhelmingly Positive Response

Hey everyone, just wanted to drop a note. We have reached some amazing milestones and we are super excited to share them with you all.

Since we publicized our project one month ago, we have received a flood of overwhelmingly positive comments and support. The response on social media has been remarkable. We have already reached over 160 followers on Twitter, 360 followers on Facebook, 500 followers on Instagram, and we have over 250 people signed up for our mailing list!

Also, several horror blogs and websites picked up on the project and published articles about it including this one from the premier source of horror content in the world; Bloody Disgusting!

And lastly, a few days ago we shared our project on Reddit (r/horror) and it went viral. Here are just a few of the hundreds of positive comments we received:

“Wow....looks like a long lost fourth volume! Very excited for this.” -puffyrock19888

“Thank you for helping to meet demand for something we've all been dying to read for decades! If it's half as good as it looks in this preliminary stage, you should have a real hit on your hands come fall!” -paint_the_wind

“Looks faithful to the original books. Definitely backing this up when it’s on Kickstarter. Keep up the good work guys!” -Hallowed_Grave

“As a fan, I can't thank you enough for all your hard work and time to make these illustrations just as good if not better than the original.” -jurrymaker

We know there is a lot of work to do still to bring this project up to the standard set by the immortal Alvin Schwartz and Stephen Gammell, but these kind of comments confirm to us that we are on the right track. We hope you will all find something you like inside the pages of “Scary Stories: A Tribute To Terror.”

Anyway, thanks again for the amazing support and kindness.

Kickstarter coming Fall 2019

Hey everybody, Shane here. I just wanted to give you a little update to the project.

As of today, Curt is done with the text of the book. We have over 30 stories that are ready to be published after some minor professional editing. I have finished over 60 digital illustrations and they are now ready for the final pass (specifically, I will be re-creating them with graphite and ink wash). But the hard part is pretty much done.

I have also been putting the actual book together in InDesign, and it looks like it will probably be around 140-160 pages long. I’m very proud of the book’s formatting. I think you’re gonna love it.

Our plan is to launch our Kickstarter in Fall of this year (2019) to ensure that it is published right after the CBS Films production based on the Scary Stories books is released. (We’re really looking forward to that movie!)

We are very excited to see this project coming together after 3 years of work. It’s been a long and difficult road, but the end is in sight.

Thanks for all the love and support.
